As ScotRail and Caledonian Sleeper are not currently involved in this dispute have posted this in the UK area, however both are very likely to experience severe curtailment of services due to the walkout including Network Rail as well as English Train Operating Companies.
The strikes will cover shifts due to book on from midnight on the strike days rather than staff walking off shift at 23:59, however this is still likely to lead to cancellations of late services on the pre strike days and significant morning disruption at least on post strike mornings.
It's noted that the LNER services from Aberdeen and Inverness are unavailable for ticket purchase throughout the week at this time. Seems likely that the Caledonian Sleeper services will be scuppered for the entire week also.
We are aware that in another place, pretty much all discussion around industrial relations on the National Rail network has been shutdown. We have fewer padlocks available!
Rail union RMT launch 3 days of national strike action across the railway network.
Over 50,000 railway workers will walkout as part of 3 days of national strike action later this month, in the biggest dispute on the network since 1989.
The union will shut down the country's railway network on 21st, 23rd and 25th June, due to the inability of the rail employers to come to a negotiated settlement with RMT.
