ScotGov Transport Minister Mr Graeme Dey, visited Moy to see first-hand the new rail bridge installed over the weekend. Mr Dey said: “The success of the Lynebeg rail bridge installation marks a significant milestone for the A9 Dualling: Tomatin to Moy project, as the first tangible improvement to the transport infrastructure as part of the project’s advance works."

Mr Dey revealed the shortlisted contractors are: Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering Ltd, John Graham Construction Ltd and Wills Bros Civil Engineering Ltd.
The new bridge will provide access to and from the Northbound Carriageway of the dualled A9, while the existing Moy junction will provide access to and from the Southbound carriageway. There will be a height restriction on the Lynebeg junction of 4.3m, alternative access to Moy will be available by a new single track local access road which will link to the Tomatin North junction. The scheme will also include closing the central reservation gap in the existing Dual Carriageway at the Slochd Summit at the Tomatin South junction.
